Staff, members, and guests of Vault Virginia will seek to hold each other in the highest possible regard and treat one another with mutual respect. The following items clarify just a handful of specific guidelines for our members.

1. Please DO collaborate, connect, share ideas and advice, and buy and sell from one another as permitted by the Terms of Use. Uninvited solicitation of other members, however, is strictly prohibited. Your membership may be cancelled if you are found to be annoying fellow members with solicitation.

2. Vault Virginia premises are for members only. Visitors with day passes, meeting room reservations, or invitations for business meetings with members are welcomed. Members will be held responsible for the conduct of their guests in all cases and circumstances.

3. Keys should never be shared. Unauthorized access may result in cancellation of the membership to which the key was assigned.

4. Be considerate of others and act in a professional manner while at Vault Virginia.

5. Conference rooms must be reserved and are subject to availability. Allotted member conference time is non-transferable and does not roll over or accrue from month to month. Please return conference rooms to the condition in which you found them.

6. Unoccupied seats in shared workspace areas should be left available for others to use. Please do not occupy neighboring seats or workspaces with bags or other items during times when seating may be limited.

7. The lounge and common areas may be used for polite, quiet phone conversations. Private or potentially louder calls should be taken in the phone-booths or outside. The use of a speaker- phone should be reserved for conference rooms and private offices only. In the interests of maintaining a peaceful environment, Vault Virginia requests that all members, guests, and clients turn their phones to silent while in the shared workspaces.

8. Members are expected to clean up after themselves. Dishes used by members or their guests should be placed in the dishwasher or hand-washed and dried.

9. Food kept in the refrigerator should be labeled with the date. Vault Virginia staff reserve the right to dispose of anything left in the refrigerator.

10. We love pets but cannot allow them in the shared workspaces at Vault Virginia. Exceptions shall be made for service dogs and as required by applicable Virginia and federal statutes. Permission to allow an animal onto the premises shall be granted in the sole discretion of the Landlord and Sublandlord of the Building, and all requests shall be reviewed pursuant to applicable law. To seek written permission to bring an animal into the Building, a member should contact James Barton at 434.989.1283.

11. For security reasons emergency exits should be used only in the event of a true emergency.

12. Smoking and vaping within Vault Virginia is strictly prohibited. Please smoke/vape outside and not within 30 feet of doors and windows.

The staff at Vault Virginia is dedicated to cultivating a collaborative, innovative, creative, and friendly environment. Please help us by offering feedback and suggestions for how we can make that true for you every day!
