Vault Virginia Opens Its Doors for a Day of Art, Entrepreneurship, and Community

On Saturday, November 15, Vault Virginia invites the public to explore the building’s vibrant ecosystem of artists, entrepreneurs, and local partners shaping the creative heart of downtown Charlottesville. The event runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by an evening ticketed concert at The Guild, Charlottesville’s newest venue and intimate listening room experience, featuring an acoustic reunion by Virginia’s own Everything. The band rose to fame in the 1990s with their hit single “Hooch” and has reunited for select performances celebrating their album Motion Emotion.

The day-long celebration will feature experiences and openings throughout the building, including Vault Virginia, The Bradbury Café, Bill Atwood Art, THE GUILD, Three Wrong Turns, Friends of Cville, and the launch of CreatorHub, a new membership-based workspace for local creators. Together, these partners showcase how creativity, commerce, and community thrive side by side within Charlottesville’s downtown landscape.

A Celebration of Charlottesville’s Creative Core

“Vault’s Open House is a celebration of what makes Charlottesville so dynamic — the creativity that emerges when our community of artists and entrepreneurs gets together,” said James Barton, Founder of Vault Virginia. “With the launch of CreatorHub, we’re deploying even greater opportunities for local creators to collaborate and grow together.”

“Hosting the reunion of Everything at THE GUILD perfectly anchors this full day of community celebration,” said Michael Allenby, Creative Director at Vault Virginia. “THE GUILD is designed for intimate experiences connecting artists and audiences and the band's deep Virginia roots highlights the Open House as an opportunity for reunion in Downtown Charlottesville .”

“Eighteen thousand days adds up to a hell of a lot of lines, colors, and ideas,” said Bill Atwood, artist and architect. “This exhibition, my first public art show, is a love letter to Charlottesville and a reflection of how this city and its people have shaped my work over the past fifty years.”
